It was the ultimate Sunday morning for me; cruising down Balboa Penisula, windows rolled down, a warm breeze dancing through my hair and the sun glowing off my skin as I hunted for new boutiques. Finding Caffé Balboa was like the extra cream cheese frosting on a moist piece of carrot cake! Looking like a little Italian eatery from the sidewalk with its quaint black wire tables and arched windows, this boutique combines coffee and clothes for the ultimate sensory experience!

Deborah, the adorable and energetic owner of Caffé Balboa told me how she started out as a caffé specializing in food but grew to include clothing due to her passion for fashion. Now the clothing options out number the menu items. This eclectic little spot combines tropical flirty with nautical beach casual while delivering the comfort and connection of a neighborhood coffee shop where people relax and share life.

Everywhere I turned my eyes found another hidden treasure. Jewelry hanging from smooth branches and chandeliers, flirty underwear displayed in glass jars like candy and flowy dresses cascading down the walls displaying a vibrant color palette of coral, guava, turquoise and lemon.

I couldn’t resist a gorgeous hibiscus colored top made by Trinity, a 100% organic cotton/silk blend, on sale for $29 and an engraved black bangle rimmed in gold half off for $9! No joke, everything is under $39. Fun clothes, fabulous prices, fresh coffee, premium teas, tasty pasteries, charming character, intriguing conversation and FREE WiFi….
