Clean, cool and conveniently tucked a few doors down from the chaos and congestion of Main Street, Carmen Parks boutique in downtown Huntington Beach is home to elements essential for laid-back glamor. This boutique is basic chic meets simple lines with a light dusting of ruffles and rhinestones, for just the right amount of refined femininity.

Ultra sexy basic cotton and silk blend tops, tunics, dresses, pants and shorts from Sanctuary Clothing, vintage inspired silk tanks in soft neutral tones and bold gem colors from Kyumi and corset style tube dress/tops from Sharon Couture were a few of the standout staples. I found Carmen Parks selection of denim original and memorable with new to my eyes - DL1961, these ultra soft and sexy stretch jeans "won't Sag, Bag, or Lose Shape" and are favorites of Blake Lively and Halle Berry. You'll also find edgy California Born jeans, Frankie B, William Rast and J & Co., so it looks like this boutique is an "equal opportunist" denim destination, with a brand for all body types.

Being the obsessed accessory addict I am (my eye for jewelry is a blessing AND a curse) I couldn't help but get distracted by the massive front counter overflowing with a crisp crop of rings, necklaces, bracelets and hairbands. Like a bouquet of wild flowers, unique and vibrant, Carmen Parks selection of jewelry sits poised ready to make any basic a standout style statement. Each display case window offers a look into a world of possibilities from dainty to down right diva. One of a kind vintage charm and chunky chain creations from our favorite local designer Mary Lou’s Vintage and dazzling glass flower cuffs and earrings from Mia will have you doing the "can I see that!" dance.

Carmen Parks boutique has a peace and ease about it, the staff is refreshingly cheerful and ready to help. Check out their blinged belt buckles, trendy now shoe styles, crystal strap push-up bras, handbags and fashion accessories like Foot Petals, Hollywood Fashion Tape and Low Beams Nipple covers..."because high beams are for cars" LOL!
