Claremont, Orange County Boutique Pique
By: April Madigan @BoutiquingNo this review isn't "highlighting" the latest episode of The Hills, rather a strikingly beautiful boutique lighting up the landscape of Claremont's recently renovated Village district. Too Blonde is a lofty space decked out in brocade and blinged out mirrors that reflect the attention grabbing tops and dresses tempting every woman to add a sexy edge to her look. The posh and luxurious backdrop is the ultimate in visual boutiquing experiences, one peek inside the fitting rooms and it was evident that this is the ultimate escape from stark and modern.
Neatly folded stacks of Ed Hardy tees are paired with denim dependable Robin's Jeans. The collection of Salvage is the largest I have seen, the styles so cool and concert ready they had me eager to find a venue. One of a kind designs from Mary Lou's Vintage stood out in a conversation starting way, and trust me, this was not the first time I have fallen in lust with their consistently creative collection. Every piece I picked up surprised me with it's unique, well made, wearable appeal. Another highlight was the vast selection of pieces by Johnny Was, a line I always find to fit well, and covers that difficult to master chic yet casual style category.
All in all I found Too Blonde to be a delightful departure from the typical trendy boutique. Unapologeticically sexy and filled with confident clothing, this is the place to head when you want to strut your stuff day or night.
